What a great day out on the water! I had the pleasure of taking Laura Sweeney and her group of 4 friends on a Charter Fishing Savannah GA | Inshore Trip 3 to 10 HRS with Captain Zach's Fishing Charter. March is prime time for inshore fishing around Wilmington Island, Chatham County, as the warming waters bring the prized redfish, trout, and other coastal species closer to the surface. With clear skies and calm conditions, we knew it was going to be a fantastic outing.

We launched from 2812 River Dr and wasted no time getting our lines in the water. The group was eager to get started, so we tried a variety of techniques - deep sea, jigging, trolling, and light tackle - to see what the fish were hitting. It didn't take long before the rods started bending, and the shouts of excitement filled the air. One after another, the group was reeling in beautiful redfish (also known as red drum), each fish putting up an incredible fight.

The bite stayed hot all afternoon, and we managed to land quite a few of these powerful inshore gamefish. In between catching our targets, we also spotted some nice trout and sheepshead roaming the shallows. The scenic Tybee Island-Wilmington Island backdrop made for the perfect setting, and the group was thrilled to be out on the water, enjoying the sunshine and calm conditions. It was an all-around fantastic day of inshore action.
